Exceptional Testone from the Penultimate Marquis of Saluzzo

MIR-152. A classic RARITY from the early modern Italian states series, this impressive specimen offers a powerful rendition of the Marquis, with exceptional detail throughout. A flan crack is observed, as well as some subtle repair in the fields, but some engaging color has begun to reappear. Given the dearth of examples available, these aspects are rather happily and easily overlooked, as this cataloger was able to locate just two others of the type to have crossed the auction block.
