ITALY. Naples & Sicily (Naples). Alfonsino (1-1/2 Ducats), ND (1442-58). Naples or Gaeta Mint. Alfonso I (Alfonso V of Aragon). NGC AU-55.
Fr-816; MIR-53. Weight: 5.12 gms. Obverse: Armored knight, wielding sword, riding caparisoned horse right; Reverse: Coat-of-arms. On the verge of Mint State status, this enticing example presents a vibrant golden-yellow hue along with solid brilliance remaining among the numerous protected areas. Outside of some minor doubling, the strike is bold as exacting as well.
