INDIA. Bengal Presidency. Silver 1/2 Rupee Pattern, "Year 19" (ca. 1793-1818). Calcutta (as "Murshidabad") Mint. in the name of Shah Alam II. PCGS PROOF-63.
KM-Pn13; Prid-356; Stevens-4.14. An exceptional Pattern struck with an unfinished design, this 1/2 Rupee delivers enticing brilliance and some mottled toning across the open fields. One of the more elusive Pattern issues from this period, and one that certainly should be high on any collector's wish list.
