The Seldom Encountered Key Date
GUATEMALA. 1/4 Real, 1892. Nueva Guatemala Mint. NGC MS-62.
EMO-2875 (Plate coin); KM-159. This Mint State survivor is tied for finest certified for this RARE key date. The surfaces exhibit a mauve tone accented by amber highlights that glimmer with underlying luster. The date slightly weak, as usual, but unmistakable. As the finest example offered for auction in many years, this piece is worthy of a premium bid.
