VENEZUELA. Banco Venezolano de Credito. 100 Bolívares, ND (1931-39). P-S248cts. Color Trial Specimen. PMG Choice Uncirculated 63.
A scarce and colorful color trial specimen for this tough private bank issue from Venezuela. Printed in the 1930s by Waterlow & Sons, whose specimen overprint can be seen on both sides. It also shows punch hole cancellations as well as the mounting remnants on the back. Most of these came from salesman books used by representatives of the bank to showcase W&S's product to other banks. A wonderful item and seldom seen at this grade level. PMG comments "Previously Mounted".
