MEXICO. Banco de Mexico. 500 Pesos, 7.3.1934. P-26g. M4620g. PMG Choice Very Fine 35.
Final date of issue for the large-size 500 Pesos of the Banco de Mexico, first introduced in circulation in 1925. Tied for finest in the PMG population report, and like all higher denomination notes of this series very scarce in any grade. Specimens are sometimes seen but issued notes are another story, with very few auction appearances in public sources. This is a pleasing problem-free example of the type, with a bright red seal overprint on back and strong eye-appeal. It will certainly add tremendous eye-appeal to one lucky type or date collection.
