MEXICO. Banco de Mexico. 500 Pesos, 1.8.1931. P-26b. M4620b. PMG Choice Fine 15.
Second date of issue and a tremendous rarity, with this example the sole example in the PMG population report. This type, along with the other denominations in the series, was first printed in 1925. The next date seen is 1931, but based on the serial numbers observed as well as contemporary printing records demand for the higher denominations was fairly low, with very few issued. This type is scarce in any grade and we offer tremendous opportunity in this sale by offering three different dates of this classic and important type.
