MEXICO. Lot of (2). Banco de la Republica Mexicana. 50 Pesos, 1918. P-Unlisted. M327. Front & Back Proofs. PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ & Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ.
A fantastic design prepared by the British American Bank Note Company for a proposed unified issue for Mexico. Unfortunately this design was never produced for circulation as the project was abandoned and a unified bank for all of Mexico was not created until 1925. Like the other lots in this sale an important opportunity for the Mexican specialist and a fantastic engraving.
