Description
COLOMBIA. Banco de Medellin. 1 Peso, ND (1880s). P-S592s. DP 7266. Specimen. PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ.
Fully printed specimen prepared by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co. for the Banco de Medellin in the 1880s (we're not sure where the 1895 date on the PMG holder comes from, as issued examples of this series are dated 1882). A lovely design and seen here including the counterfoil at left that was to be retained by the bank upon issue. Typical BWC perforation is seen, and printed on handmade paper in blue. The only example graded by PMG at this grade level with just one finer example.
