Who thought it would be a good idea to cultivate silk worms in Northeast Ohio?!?! Apparently someone thought it was a good idea in the 1830s and the institution soon failed by way of the cold winter climate of Northeast Ohio and the Panic of 1837. A short-sighted measure which had the unintended effect of leaving a numismatic legacy which attests to a short-lived venture that would have otherwise been forgotten.
