Countermark: Type VI; crowned Y.II. within circular incuse. Applied to the obverse of a 1834-LIMAE MM Peru Republic 8 Reales (KM-138.2). Wholesome and original looking, this richly toned example displays attractive gray patina. The countermark is boldly applied to a moderately worn host with minor earthen deposits lending to its originality.
