BAKTRIA. Indo-Greek Kingdom. Menander I Soter. AR Drachm, Uncertain Mint in Paropamisadai or Gandhara, ca. 155-130 B.C. NGC Ch VF.
HGC-12, 188. Obverse: Diademed heroic bust of Menander I left, brandishing spear; Reverse: Athena standing right, brandishing shield and thunderbolt; monogram to left. A handsome example of this interesting bilingual issue. Well-centered and attractively toned.
