Description

MEXICO. 8 Reales, 1845/35-Do RM. Durango Mint. NGC MS-64.
KM-377.4; DP-Do22. RARE in this state of preservation. Tied for finest graded of the date at NGC with none designated at the Mint State level on the PCGS census. Mexican Eagle variety. Well struck with abundant luster and a bold radiant Phrygian cap, far better than normally encountered, while the reverse is somewhat flat on the high points with faint central design and strong peripheral details. Despite the noted flatness the present example is far superior to most pieces encountered on today's market. The lovely medium grey tone over the lustrous surfaces round this piece out with good eye appeal sure to excited even the most advanced of collectors.
