Description

Fr. 785. 1918 $5 Federal Reserve Bank Note. Cleveland. PMG Superb Gem Uncirculated 67 EPQ. Fancy Serial Number.

A remarkable example without a better or equal, large size notes are seldom seen at this exceptional level of preservation. As of this writing PMG has graded only 3 notes at this lofty grade, whereas the old PCGS-Currency had graded a pair at 68 PPQ level. With jet-black inks and near-perfect centering, and the added desirability of a solid serial number, the possibility that this note surpasses the record realized for the Anderson specimen which sold for $14,400 after buyer's premium at the March 2018 Baltimore Show is indeed a distinct possibility, and one that reflects the exceptional nature of the present offering. PMG Population: 3/None Finer.

Estimate: $10000.00- $15000.00
