Description
1926 Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle. MS-66 (PCGS).
A sharply struck and boldly lustrous Premium Gem late date Saint. Brilliant, golden surfaces gleam on the nearly pristine surfaces. A tiny copper spot is seen above WE on the reverse, attesting to the originality of this piece. While collected as a "generic date," the 1926 is indeed much scarcer than the 1924, 1925, 1927, or 1928 Philadelphia issues in MS-66.
