1909-S Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle. MS-65+ (NGC).

Despite a sizable mintage of over 2.7 million pieces, the 1909-S is anything but common in Gem grade. In MS-65+ as offered here, the combined Population and Census figures between PCGS and NGC is under 30. The present example is blindingly brilliant with bold, rolling cartwheel luster on both sides. The luster accentuates a rosy-golden hue that is a delight to behold. Sharply struck up devices show full details on both sides. A great example that is rare at this level and very rare any finer.
