1844-O Liberty Head Eagle. Winter-1. Misplaced Date, Repunched Mintmark. AU-55 (NGC).

A popular die marriage from this popular year. The top loop of the misplaced 8 can be seen in the denticles below the lower loop of the correctly punched 8, and the mintmark shows bold repunching. A choice and original AU example, with light wear on the nicely toned surfaces. Displaying honey and rose-infused golden surfaces, this piece has a nice eye appeal for sure.
