1921 Peace Silver Dollar. High Relief. MS-66 (NGC).
An exceptionally well produced and preserved example of this perennially popular first year Peace dollar issue. Both sides exhibit emerging to bold detail in the centers, the strike sharp to full toward the borders. Softly frosted surfaces are remarkably smooth and overlaid in lovely iridescent apricot-yellow and red-brown highlights. The 1921 is the only high relief Peace dollar issue that saw widespread distribution into commercial channels. Mint State examples are readily obtainable in grades up to and including MS-65. In properly graded MS-65+ this issue remains scarce, however, and it is rare any finer. This is a superior quality coin that would do justice to an advanced Peace dollar set.
