1950 Franklin Half Dollar. Proof-67 Cameo (PCGS). CAC.
The frosted devices on early Franklin half dollars wore off the dies quickly, making these early dates extremely challenging to find in the Cameo designation. From the first year of the issue, PCGS has graded a very few in this Superb state of preservation with the Cameo finish, and CAC has approved a miniscule number of them. The device to field contrast is bold with deeply reflective mirrors surrounding frosty white devices. The surfaces are untoned and flawless, giving this impressive coin a fabulous "just struck" look.
PCGS# 86691. NGC ID: 27VA.
PCGS Population: 22; just five finer in the designation, (all Proof-67+ Cameo).
