Description

1944 Walking Liberty Half Dollar. MS-67+ (PCGS). CAC.

A spectacular example of this late date Walking Liberty half dollar in every sense. From a technical standpoint, this coin is truly superb, with essentially flawless surfaces that radiate mint brilliance. A somewhat soft strike left some of the highest details a touch flat, which is normal. What sets this CAC approved MS-67+ apart is the beautiful album toning on both sides. The spectrum comes to life as you rotate this beauty in a light, the rainbow bands are particularly pronounced on the obverse, while the reverse is bathed in soft pastel hues. For the collector of superb Walking Liberty half dollars or beautifully toned type coins, this is an exceptional coin that deserves placement in a fabulous cabinet.

PCGS# 6621. NGC ID: 24SC.

PCGS Population: 52; 4 finer (all MS-68).

Estimate: $4000
