Description

1940 Walking Liberty Half Dollar. MS-68 (PCGS).

Among the highest graded examples of the 1940 Walking Liberty half dollar, this remarkable example ranks particularly high on eye appeal and originality. A blush of the faintest iridescent toning clings to the peripheral devices on both sides, coming into focus with the strong, vibrant mint brilliance catches the light. Boldly struck devices show full definition throughout and the surfaces are pristine, free of any tick or line of any kind. With just a single MS-68+ graded higher, this beauty is a prime candidate for a high end Registry Set and should see fierce bidding competition when it crosses the block.

PCGS# 6609. NGC ID: 24RZ.

PCGS Population: 36; just a single MS-68+ is graded higher.

Estimate: $5000
