Renowned the world over for its long-standing association with chocolate production, the town of Hershey has long been of commercial importance to Eastern Pennsylvania. Accordingly, the town of Hershey played host to one of the thousands National Banks that proliferated across the United States from 1863 to 1935. A total of 78 notes and a handful of uncirculated notes like this one are recorded for this all-American locale by the National Bank Note Census. Noted for "Exceptional Paper Quality" by PMG.
