Although a common charter and one that has provided collectors with a number of rare First Charter nationals, this lovely $20 Brown Back from the National Bank of Baltimore, Maryland represents the sole example of its type and denomination and features an unusual trait, a vertical charter number and a strikingly distinctive Treasury Seal which occupies a space close to the top margin.
