Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Bank of Pennsylvania. 18xx $5. PA-480 G172d. PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ. Proof.

Plate B. Four POC's. Proof. Printed on India paper. Mounted to cardstock. Imprint of Danforth, Wright & Co. Philad. & New York. Printed in blue with light pink tints. Pennsylvania Coat of Arms at center. Male portraits at bottom left and right, girl at bottom center. White 5 protectors at bottom left and right with microlettered FIVE DOLLARS in signature panels. The bank opened in 1794 and, but for a brief hiatus in 1842, operated until closing in 1857. This proof comes wonderfully printed in striking inks on well margined and choice paper. This is the only example in the PMG Population Report.
