Plate A. Imprint of Rawdon, Wright, Hatch & Edson, New York with "abc" monogram. Large central vignette of a steaming locomotive going to the left. Large outlined "ONE" below surrounded by green grill protector. Ship at far left. America at right. Green overall paper tint. The train vignette is that which was used on the T-15 Confederate notes. The bank was organized in 1833 and operated until 1865, becoming the Chemung Canal National Bank of Elmira, charter 811. An incredibly rare bank and the only example graded by PMG. The only signed and issued example we have sold was a $3 note that was part of The 52 Collection.
