Description

Washington, District of Columbia. International Bank. Propriety Proof. DC-260-G8PP. PMG Superb Gem Uncirculated 67 EPQ.

Left, 5 counter, portraits of Jackson and Buchanan. Center, portrait of Washington. Right, portraits of Jefferson and Clay, 5 counter. Lower center, horizontal $5 against a lattice green background that covers most of the of the note. A rare proprietary proof of strong eye appeal, vaguely reminiscent of the iconic $2 "Lazy Deuce" National Bank Note issued by the United States. A quintet of portraits are featured in what amounts to an unusual and seldom-seen arrangement. Printed in a dark shade of green contrary to the final issue which was printed in a burnt-orange shade red.

Estimate: $600.00- $800.00
