1889 Liberty Seated Quarter. MS-66 * (NGC).

A fabulously toned, exceptionally well preserved Gem example from an original mintage of only 12,000. Both obverse and reverse are brilliantly lustrous and have a vibrant frosty glow throughout that highlights an elliptical band of toning on the obverse and a supporting arch of toning on the reverse periphery. Well struck with boldly defined devices, this 1889 quarter is certainly worthy of NGC's "*" designation for eye appeal.
