1870 Liberty Seated Quarter. Proof-65 (NGC).

Visually pleasing surfaces exhibit vivid golden-apricot and powder blue undertones to dominant pewter-olive patina. Early date Proof Motto Liberty Seated quarters such as the 1870 are considerably scarer than their more widely recognized counterparts from 1879 to 1891. Not associated with very low mintage Philadelphia Mint circulation strike issues, the former are underrated by more casual collectors.
