Description

1875 Twenty-Cent Piece. BF-1. Rarity-1. MS-65 (PCGS).

Only 36,910 examples of this odd denomination were struck for circulation at the Philadelphia Mint during the inaugural year, one of just four years that it would be produced, only two of which were for circulation. This richly toned Gem is imbued with apricot-rose and slate-blue hues that cover both sides of this sharply struck example. Scarce so fine, and rare any finer.

PCGS# 5296. NGC ID: 23R5.

Estimate: $5000
