Description

1793 Flowing Hair Cent. Wreath Reverse. S-9, B-12. Rarity-2. Vine and Bars Edge. VF Details--Environmental Damage (PCGS).

A wealth of bold detail survives on both sides to tempt the budget minded collector seeking an example of this challenging one-year design type from the beginning of large cent coinage. Although the obverse is extensively pitted with associated verdigris to explain the PCGS qualifier, the reverse is quite smooth in hand. Mostly medium olive-brown in color, and sure to find many eager buyers in today's highly competitive numismatic market.

PCGS# 1347. NGC ID: 223H.

From our sale of the Collection of James Allaire Millholland, March 2023, lot 4002.

Estimate: $2500
