1786 New Jersey Copper. Maris 21-N, W-4910. Rarity-3. Curved Plow Beam, Mane Punch Before Ears, Wide Shield. AU Details--Cleaned (NGC).

This is a smooth-looking example in hand with no sizeable marks, flan flaws, or other significant blemishes. The surfaces are curiously glossy to explain the NGC qualifier, the obverse more so than the reverse. Both sides have retoned quite nicely, however, the former in bold copper-rose and the latter in lighter autumn-brown. There is no denticulation along the left borders due to centering issues, but all major design elements are on the flan and boldly to sharply rendered.
