Description

1788 Connecticut Copper. Miller 3-B.1, W-4410. Rarity-5+. Mailed Bust Right. Overstruck on a Nova Constellatio Copper. VF-20 (PCGS).

110.8 grains. A lovely autumn-brown example with good gloss to overall smooth-looking surfaces. The only blemish of note is an ancient spot of slightly darker reddish-brown color on the letter T in AUCTORI. Nicely centered and well struck with the date and legends all strong. Portions of the undertype are clear on both sides. Really a nice example of this challenging Miller number.
