NEW YORK. New York. "1850" (1861-1865) Peter Warmkessel. Fuld-630BZ-1do. Rarity-7. Copper-Nickel. Plain Edge. Overstruck on an 1860 Indian Cent. MS-65 (NGC).
19 mm. The reverse of the token is mounted up in the NGC holder, its obverse showing the date and most other major elements of the host coin's obverse design. Both sides exhibit blushes of flint gray to dominant medium tan surfaces, frosty luster complete, the store card design sharp despite the obverse being struck trivially off center to 5 o'clock. While we have offered a few of these in recent years, all overstruck on Indian cents, they are scarce in an absolute sense.
