Plow-CM-5.1, 5.2 and Unlisted; Lee-2 and Unlisted varieties. Variety with December dates, each 34 mm. All with Marianne bringing the gods of the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans together, legend: "PERCEMENT DE L'ISTHME DE PANAMA" around; Reverse with eight line inscription: "CANAL / DE PANAMA / COMPAGNIE UNIVERSELLE / DU CANAL INTEROCEANIQUE / 7 8 ET 9 DECEMBRE 1880 / A SES SOUSCRIPTEURS / LE BANQUE / PARISIENNE". The pieces vary in metallic content and finish only. Lot includes a silver example, (Plow-CM-5.2; Lec-2) SP-62; A gilt bronze specimen Plow and Lec Unlisted, graded SP-62, and another cataloged the same as the last, but graded SP-61 and with a polished appearance; also an antiqued bronze example Plow-CM-5-1, Lec Unlisted in SP-62BN.
