HGC-4, 1597; Kroll-8. Obverse: Helmeted head of Athena right; Reverse: Owl standing right, head facing; olive sprig and crescent to left; all within incuse square. An extremely brilliant example of the type with great eye appeal and luster. A pair of test cuts appear on the owl along with an "X" character graffito on the reverse field are the only flaws to note.
