Obverse: Three interlocking rings (representing the three guarantees of religion, union, and independence); below, two globes displaying the Western and Eastern hemispheres, unchained from each other; Reverse: SEGUNDA EPOCHA above wreath. Suspension loop, ring and tri-color ribbon with attachment studs. This medal was awarded to junior military officers who swore allegiance to Augustin Iturbide between 15 June and 2 September 1821. This example offers milk chocolate brown surfaces, scattered marks consistent with use and the grade; two extremely small spots of corrosion on the obverse. Scarce with the intact ribbon. Historic.
