ATTICA. Athens. AR Tetradrachm, ca. 454-404 B.C. NGC EF. Scratches, Test Cut.
HGC-4, 1597; Kroll-8. Obverse: Helmeted head of Athena right; Reverse: Owl standing right, head facing; olive sprig and crescent to left; all within incuse square. A well-struck and deeply toned exemplar. A test cut through the owl and a few scratches are noted, but the coin otherwise shows little evidence of wear and retains a nice lustrous sheen on its fields.
