KM-17; Nesmith-26c; Cal-type-54. 13.4 grams. Quatrefoils separate both legends, rondules in amulets, rhomboid panel leans left with double stops on the outsides of the pillars. Deep olive brown toned and showing a nice strike on a nearly round planchet with legends that are almost complete. Endlessly sought as an issue due to the type's status as the first coinage struck in the New World.
