Description

ISRAEL. Copper-Zinc-Nickel 25 Pruta Pattern, JE 5709 (1949). Birmingham Mint. PCGS SP-66 Gold Shield.

cf.KM-12. Variety with pearl. Virtually identical to and presumably struck in the same metal as the circulating issue with the only design variance being the word "SPECIMEN" that was added to the reverse between the two lines of Hebrew text. RARE as an issue and especially so in this quality (the single finest graded at PCGS or NGC) with surfaces that showcase bold design features and faint golden hue in the reflective fields.

Ex: Kings Norton Mint Collection.
