GREAT BRITAIN. Four Piece Gold Proof Set, 1911. All PCGS Gold Shield Certified.
From a mintage of 2,812 sets. Issued for the coronation of King George V. A lovely, carefully handled set, with each coin displaying strong reflectivity in the fields that mixes with soft tone as a result of decades of boxed storage. While cameo-producing frost appears on George V's bust on each piece, the contrast is a touch light on the reverse of the 1/2 Sovereign, thus preventing the Cameo designation. Individual contents are as follows: Half Sovereign: PCGS PROOF-64. S-4006; KM-819; Fr-405a. Sovereign: PCGS PROOF-64 CAMEO. S-3996; KM-820; Fr-404a. Two Pounds: PCGS PROOF-65 CAMEO. S-3995; KM-821; Fr-403. Five Pounds: PCGS PROOF-64 CAMEO. S-3994; KM-822; Fr-402.
