Description

GERMANY. Hohenlohe-Kirchberg. Taler, 1781-W WKS. Christian Friedrich Karl (1767-1806). PCGS MS-62 Gold Shield.

KM-12; Dav-2359A. One year type. Impressively engraved, featuring a particularly notable high relief bust of Christian Friedrich Karl in the obverse centers, paired with a beautifully ornate lion-supported coat-of-arms on the reverse. Luxurious gleam remains in the fields with blushes of pale tone in the open areas. Around the obverse legends, bolder amber hues exist, their presence contributing an attractive frame for the design. All considered, a very lovely coin, only limited in grade by trivial handling that does little to impede the eye appeal.
