This lot contains a special Tahiti piece which the Pick Catalog only lists with a 1923, and a 1938 date option. The catalog also only prices those pieces up to the EF level as it is unconscionable that a piece at this uncirculated level has survived. This particular example has a stamp cancellation diagonally stamped across the face, with some light toning on the note that we mention for accuracy. The design itself features an allegorical woman holding a shield at left, with a sailing ships vignette at upper center. The reverse shows a woman at right with her left breast exposed. The color and detail remains strong throughout the note with an ornate appearance. Excellent centering, and registration observed. PMG Uncirculated 62.
