Description

GREENLAND. Handelsstederne i Gronland. 6, 12, & 24 Skillings, and 1 Daler, 1856. P-A33r to A36r. Remainders. Extremely Fine to Uncirculated.

4 pieces in lot. Remainders. An incredible complete denomination set of these 1856 notes with all showing great detail. Crowned F7R monogram at left with crowned polar bear at right. Both the 12 and 24 Skilling notes are AU examples with a single light diagonal fold. The 1 Rigsdaler note is also an AU example but suffers from only a small corner fold and contains some manuscript writing on the reverse. The lowest denomination, the Six Skilling note shows in Uncirculated form. A rare set and seldom offered together as a group. (Sieg-33 to 36) Extremely Fine to Uncirculated.

From the Collection of Dr. James Eustace Bizzell, II.
