CANADA. Royal Bank of Canada. 10 Dollars, 1909. CAD630100410. PMG Very Fine 25.
Montreal, Quebec. This 10 Dollar Royal Bank of Canada note from 1909 is one of just a handful known with the Multicolored Frame variety. The most recent Charlton book mentions only 5 known with 1 in an institutional collection. In contrast, there are 17 that contain the black frame around the design. The note shows with circulation typical to the grade level, but the detail required to attract collectors still remains. We anticipate this note will certainly be a standout in any Royal Bank collection, especially since PMG has only certified two examples, this one being the finer of the two, the other a mere VG 10. PMG Very Fine 25.
