Description

2022 Britannia 1oz Gold 100 Pounds. Commemorative Series. Queen Elizabeth II. Trial of the Pyx Test Piece. #6 of 9. Jessopp Facsimile Signature Label. Brilliant Uncirculated (NGC).

31.21 g (1oz) of .9999 Fine Gold. 32.69mm. An iconic and trusted bullion coin in 1oz gold that features Philip Nathan's award-winning Britannia design from 1987. The effigy of Britannia is boldly standing beside a shield that bears the Union flag whilst holding an olive branch representing peace. A trident detail in her gown represents her naval history and changes to a padlock as the coin rotates, emphasizing the coin's secure nature. A particularly desirable example of this already sought-after series, this coin ranks as #6 of only 9 such examples in this Trial of the Pyx offering.

From a Collection of Historic Test Pieces from the 2023 Trial of the Pyx, Presented on Behalf of The Royal Mint.
