GUATEMALA. Guatemala - Chile. Peso, 1894. Guatemala City Mint. PCGS MS-62, C/M: UNC Details.
KM-216; Jovel-Type VIII. Issued by decree of July 1894, commencing 10 August 1894 until early 1895. Countermark: 1/2 Real currency dies with Peso collar. Applied to a 1884-So Chile Republic Peso (KM-142.1). A SCARCE issue found in high grade. Tied for second finest certified of the date on the PCGS population report, only one finer (MS 63).
