A run of 157,000 Series D notes were issued for this design on Jan 20, 1932, S/N 070764. This issue was approved by Law No. 52 of Jan. 15, 1932, with which the bank increased its issue by six million colones. Part of that money was used to benefit the mortgage loan. The front shows three milkmen on horses along with the denomination on each side, within a rosette. The back shows a beautiful intricate design with a bust of Columbus at the center along with the number 10 on the left and the Roman numeral X on the right. Only 17 examples graded by PMG.
