GREAT BRITAIN. 6 Pence, 1687. London Mint. James II. NGC MS-63.
S-3413; KM-456.2; ESC-777. Type II Shield variety. RARE in the present state; sixpence were an uncommon denomination as whole prior to the Great Recoinage of 1695, and a Mint State survivor is seldom seen. This deeply toned and lustrous example takes the spot as the sole finest certified of the variety by NGC.
