EMO-510.3 (Plate coin); KM-108; Cal-273. Variety with evenly-spaced date. Struck on a rather broad flan, this 1/4 Real showcases wholesome detail with great clarity along with pleasing deep charcoal tones mottled across both sides. Note: a number of die characteristics led Emilio Ortiz to conclude that this coin was struck with recut dies originating from the Guatemala mint.
