PARTHIA. Phraatakes, 2 B.C.- ca. A.D. 4/5. AR Tetradrachm (14.54 gms), Seleukeia on the Tigris Mint, dated SE 311 (2/1 B.C.). NGC MS, Strike: 5/5 Surface: 3/5. Edge Scuff.
Sellwood type-57. Obverse: Diademed bust left; Nikai flanking, crowning Phraatakes with wreaths; Reverse: Archer (Arsakes I) seated right on throne, holding bow; AIT (year) below bow; uncertain month in exergue. Fairly well struck and brilliant, with a mostly argent nature shimmering upon both sides.
